Link Evidence and Policies Directly from Google Drive
Trustero’s Google Drive integration now supports more than just policy documents. You can now link manual evidence from Google Drive as well — giving you a more flexible and unified way to bring your GRC documentation into Trustero.
This improvement aligns Google Drive with our latest integration model (as used in SharePoint) and gives you better control over how linked documents are managed and synced.
What’s New
Link Evidence and Policies
Use a simple file picker to link one or more documents from Google Drive — whether they’re policies or supporting evidence — directly to controls or document requests in Trustero.
Syncing on Your Terms
Linked files are automatically indexed when first added and then synced on a regular cadence — weekly, or in line with your control assurance schedule. You can also:
- Trigger a manual sync at any time
- Sync individual documents from the control or document view
See When It Was Last Indexed
Trustero displays a clear last indexed date for each linked document. This gives you visibility into how current the content is — especially useful when reviewing results or checking why a file isn’t reflected in an AI response.
Broken Link Detection
If a linked file is deleted or moved, Trustero flags it with a visual indicator so you’re aware the document is no longer accessible.
Why This Matters
For teams using Google Drive to store policies and manual evidence, this update means you no longer need to re-upload or manually manage files in multiple places. Instead, you can link what you already have and let Trustero handle retrieval and indexing — while keeping permissions and access where they belong.
You’ll get cleaner workflows, reduced duplication, and a clearer view of what’s in scope for each control or review.
How to Start Linking from Google Drive
- Go to the app.
- Enable Google Drive: Integrations → Document Management
- Add evidence and policies as normal, but now with a Google Drive option available to pick a file.
Notes:
- Linked documents open in Google Drive, preserving your access and permission model.
- Existing Google Drive integration users can start linking evidence right away. No configuration changes required.
