Test Table: Improved Accuracy and Clarity for Tabular Evidence Checks

Trustero operating effectiveness checks have always evaluated tabular evidence—like access logs, employee lists, or asset inventories, but until now, that evaluation had some limitations: row-level accuracy varied, results weren’t always easy to interpret, and it wasn’t always clear what had passed or failed. We’ve addressed these issues with a major enhancement: Test Table.

Operating effectiveness checks involving tabular data will now produce test tables. Each row is evaluated with greater accuracy and results are presented in a clear, structured format—no configuration changes needed.

What’s New with Test Table

  • Better coverage: Every row is checked—automatically and at scale

  • Flexible logic: Supports both row-by-row conditions and threshold-based checks

  • Clearer feedback: Results now include a plain-language explanation of each check

  • Improved visibility: Issues are highlighted directly in the results, with true/false sorting

This applies whether your test procedure checks that every asset has a location, or that at least 95% of users have multi-factor authentication enabled. The test runs as usual—but with more detail, better reliability, and a much clearer view of the outcome.

What You Might Notice

  • Easier-to-read test results for table-based evidence

  • Row-level clarity: see what passed, what didn’t, and why

  • More confidence in the completeness and accuracy of checks

  • Test Table links appear at the evidence level of operating effectiveness checks

Examples

A test passes when every asset has a name and location

A control fails if one laptop lacks encryption

No Action Required—But It’s a Great Time to Run an Operating Effectiveness Check

The Test Table feature is already active in all applicable operating effectiveness checks. If your test procedure references tabular evidence that needs row-by-row checks, it’s now producing test tables.

Want to see the improvements in action? Try re-running a check that includes table-based evidence and review the new result format. It’s a quick way to experience the difference.

  • Go to the Trustero app, then:
  • Navigate to Compliance → Controls → choose any control that has attached evidence and re-run the control check
